Up your curb appeal by paying attention to your doors. You’re going to be spending a lot of time opening and walking through them, so why not make sure they speak to you and your guests! Here are a few ways to go from drab to fab!
Gold Detailing

Gold stands out nicely against the white door.The texture of the door complements the effect caused by the texture that surrounds it. For those who feel like painting a door an entire color (or covered with pattern), is a bit drastic, this is a soft way to incorporate a unique perspective on a classic look.
Heavy Contrast

The idea behind this type of visual appeal is in the way that there is a high contrast between the door and its background. The way that the purple and green play together make the entrance alluring. The pattern on the door also creates a sense of asymmetry; a mystery waiting to unfold.

There are ways to offer a front door make-over without ever touching it. Add drama to the entryway by detailing around the door. Shown here, both the shape and the wall echo far off into the distance, ultimately, bringing maximal focus to the entryway portal.
Materials

Mixing and matching materials such as wood and brass (or other metals) is a solid way to create an impact. It blends an old world with new and adds sophistication like no other. Shown here, this beautiful Belgian door went as far as adding a metal gate, a castle-effect, sure to wow its beholders. A style not all too common in the US, it almost feels to me like the door has jewelry on.
